This is a group completely for Pokemon gjinkas. Show off your works, comment others, and maybe draw or receive fan art (:

WHAT IS A GIJINKA?
Gijinka (擬人化) is a Japanese word meaning "humanoid", "personification", or "anthropomorphic", although the use of the word outside of Japan has come to be slightly different from the use of the word "anthropomorphic" in the anime/manga/furry/etc communities. Rather than referring to just any animal with human characteristics, a gijinka is most often a fan re-design of an animal-like character from an animation or graphic novel in a human or humanoid form, (ex: a Digimon or Pokémon) or of a humanoid version of the artist's own original animal-like character. Or, basically, when a human is draw with looks like an animal, pokemon, place, ect.

Here, you draw them where the have the looks of a Pokemon. Our mascot, Vinnie, is a Luxray gijinka.

Anyone can join this group. If you help the group out a lot (Getting members, submitting artwork, answering questions, suggesting favs, ect.) You could be made an administrator :D

When you submit art, please, don't submit things with zero effort.

There are currently three folders: Male Gijinkas, Female Gijinkas, and Females and Males. Females and males are pictures that contain both genders, not just a folder for any gender. You can upload an unlimited amount of deviations, but again, dont upload a bunch of zero effort picture. They dont have to be your greatest masterpieces, but no unfinished sketches or stuff like that.

PLEASE NOTICE!: The Featured folder isnt a folder for pictures that are really great and are there to be shown off. No! I usually put pictures in Featured when Im unsure of the gender. I wont get mad if every once in a while, gijinkas with obvious genders get put in there. But please, the Male, Female, and Females and Males folders are there for a reason. Thankies (:

   Im sorry I havent been keeping up around here all that much. Ive just been very busy with my school work and havent had much free time. I will be helping out around her a lot more in a few weeks, when my school gets out. But until then, I have exams I need to study for, so I wont be on. When I get time, I plan to update and make the group a lot better.

A lot of people have been asking to affiliate with the group, which is GREAT! :D But you dont have to ask, really. As long as the group is Pokemon or Gijinka or Pokemon Gijinka related, Im fine with affiliating. If I dont want the affiliate, then I will just deny the request, but as long as its pretty related to our group, I'll approve it.

   Another thing, WOW the group is growing! Im always so happy to check on here and see all the Deviantwatch messages I have from this group. And the art is just as amazing! Keep up the great work guys!! I love seeing your art and showing the world how great is is. Thank you so much for the success of the group! WOW! <3

   Im also planning, over the summer, to start a challenge myself. I want to design a gijinka for as many pokemon as possible. A long task, but Im always thinking of gijinka ideas and I just love designing them.

   As far as Yuhi no rakuen", the comic I was planning, goes, again, I havent found time. Plus me and ~Ariyaunna still need to plot it all out. Right now we just keep throwing out characters and small, random parts of the story. But maybe when I get time, Ill make up a small spoiler comic for you guys (:

   So to sum this all up: Sorry Ive been inactive, promise Ill be more productive once schools out, Im open to any related affiliates, no need to ask, Im so so impressed at our groups growth and hope you'll all keep up the good work, and "Yuhi no rakuen" has been postponed until I get some free time.

The Pokemon itself, yes. However, if your gijinka is a specific gender, then no. But if your gijinka doesn't have a specified gender, it can go in featured.
